The German company was awarded a major dredging contract in Galveston (USA) in 1904, for which project 5 dredgers were mobilised: Holm, Nereus II, Triton (all owned by the Dutch parent company), Galveston, and Texas (newly built in Germany).
Texas never reached the site, she prished on her way to the US near Ireland.
