She was built at Danzig Germany as the Fruhling.
In 1931 she was sold to The Minister of Public Works, Ottaw, Canada and renamed P.W.D. No. 303, and owned until 1961
In 1967 she was owned by British Columbia Bridge & Dredging Co. Ltd., Vancouver BC.
910 grt 410 nrt. She was originally powered by a 14hp steam engine, and repowered around the Second World War with a 270 ihp steam engine.
Note: In 1914 Otto and Curt Fruhling patented revolutionary designs for suction heads for dredging equipment which was particularly effective in 'tenacious' or 'heavy' ground. In 1921 they asked for patent in the USA.
