The Shipbuilding Contract of TONGHENG - 11000m3 Self-propelled trailing suction hopper dredger was formally signed between CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. and China Merchants Heavy Industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. on August 18, 2010.HENGTONG is a self-propelled trailing suction dredger with double engines, double propellers and double Trailers, steel welded hull with fair lines, bulbous bow and forebridge. Its tank capacity is 11000m3, Length overall is 129m, Breadth Moulded 26.2m, Depth Moulded 9.65m, Designed Draft 7m, mud carrying capacity is 14500t, Designed Full Loaded Speed 15kn and the Max Dredging depth is 40m. It would be used for port channel dredging up, dredging/filling engineering and coast maintenance. The Dredger is going to be delivered in December, 2011. Still under construction dated 31-01-2012
